Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

From contract after initial earnest money down, we had a terrible experience trying to community with the team or staff. Emails were not responded to, no timely updates and left in the dark throughout 80% of the process. During the inspection which the builders gave a time allowed, the house was still unfinished where from a buyers perspective, if we are paying a inspector to inspect the home where the builders are setting a date for them to come, we would expect the home to be nearly complete. The inspector even made a remark stating “this is the most incomplete inspection I have ever done”. Only after coming to the pre closing orientation we were introduced to the new team with [name removed] and [name removed]. They had informed us about the situation leading up to the orientation and were able to complete most of the job in a timely manner. Moving forward, [name removed] and Linae have been the most helpful members of the team and I want to shout them out for their outstanding job.

After our closing date 6/26/2024, unrepaired damages are still waiting to be fixed. After two months, we still have a broken new house from outside to inside. If you can leave me an email, I can send you images for you to take a look. This new-house purchasing experience causes me too much stress, so I had to visit a doctor one month ago and right now I am on anti-stress medication. Purchasing a new house should be a very happy thing in one's life. However, my experience is the opposite from it. We understood as the seller you wanted to close the deal as soon as possible, so you could get the money and move on. We paid everything on time. We did not make you wait to receive the money. On 6/26/2024, we were prepared to close, but when [name removed] saw the list of unfinished items, he initially refused to sign. He finally signed only after [name removed] said everything would be fixed. However, as buyers we received a new house with so many damages that are still not repaired despite our patience and repeated requests. This is not something we expected. It tells us the house was not ready to be closed. This situation causes lots of stress for us. Because of this, we ask for refunds of $250/day from the closing date 6/26/2024 until the problems are all finally resolved. We hope to hear back from you soon. Our window pane outside is still not fixed. They told us that it’ll be fixed before move in. I also disliked the the reschedule closing date which i know happens but the notice was too short and we already took the days off. I like the constant email communications

I disliked getting miss information about sewer system and maintenance of tree next to property. The Realator did not seem to have answers to our questions. When we moved in the grass was not mowed and the ribbon was not put up. We did not receive a welcome basket and the tool kit was missing a tool. For spending the amount of money we did, we did not receive the experience we should have. Before we moved in and got the keys we observed scratches to our front window and are still waiting for them to be replaced.

I liked the Quality and the House planning, but I couldn't make the little upgrades or modifications as per my needs. It would be great if a Buyer had a chance to make some changes as per needs. Couldn't negotiate even a [name removed].

Sales office representative were super informative and followed up with every step and replied on time especially [name removed]. We did not have a good experience with inspire loans though. Many things they informed 3 days before closing and it put a lot of pressure on us to arrange the funds. Also we dont think we got the good rates compared to other lenders in the same market.

I could not be more disappointed with my experience with this home builder. We had issues with what felt like intimidation and bullying when we did not go with their preferred lender for our home. We were told that we originally could wrap in all closing costs for our home. Once we decided on the lender we would use and they saw it was no longer their “preferred” lender they told us we no longer had this option. They stated they could match our other lenders rate. After many days back and forth and their lender buying unable to meet the same rates and terms they finally allowed us to wrap in our closing costs like they originally said we could. Otherwise we told them we would not be moving forward and would let them keep our 8,000$ in earnest money and go with another builder. The problems did not stop there during our walk through my mother in law noticed an uneven floor in the dining room as well as an uneven wall. This was also noted in our inspection that we had paid for as well. We were told that these things were good enough and did not need to be fixed. My realtor had to advocate hard for us to have a fixed and up to standard home. Once the repairs started we received an “after” photo of the home’s uneven wall that was exactly the same. Again we told them this was unacceptable and would not close with the home in this condition. This was then “fixed” a day later in time for closing. Upon arriving to the home after closing (we are a military family who came from overseas) we noticed uneven paint all over this “fixed wall”, nails that were poking from the stairwell that hurt several family members feet and a leak and unsecured wires in the front yard. When reaching out regarding this concerns [name removed] has told us this was probably on our neighbors lawn and not to worry about it. This was not okay. After another e mail regarding all these concerns someone higher up contacted us and sent someone the next day this is still an ongoing progress. I don’t recommend century

DISLIKES: 1) Seller Manager stopped taking our calls or returning our calls when it is nearing the closing, we feel it is very intentional , and we might never refer to another friend to avoid such experience for others. 2)Even for gutter missing (which is a must thing ) also i have to explain the seller manager to get that fixed. 3) We were expecting the fencing to be completed all sides by closing but nothin complted, Construction workers trespassing our property due to lack of fencing and i have to send so many mails to stop that one 4) We are seeing paint finishing issues after closing. Likes: We are first time home buyer and it is very helpful to have someone like Loan office [name removed] from Inspire Home. This is the best part in the entire experience. He is very patient to answer all our questions and helped us in the entire process.

I am very happy with the Century builder and construction. Only thing i would like to say that Entry door is very small in terms of width. My fridge was unable to come inside and we had to remove the door and that should be considered as feedback. Construction manager [name removed] and [name removed] is awesome.
