Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

Everything went smoothly like I said just the working class. It’s a struggle to get a new refrigerator and pay the earnest money. There’s gotta be a better assistant for that.

[name removed] was there the entire time assisting and answering all the questions. The process with Inspire Homes was somewhat smooth. At the end they didn't had the Closing disclosure until the day of the closing, not allowing me to request the manager check to my bank forcing me to do a wire transfer wich I was trying to avoid. Walk through with Mr. [name removed] wnet well he explained everything to us and took notes of deficiencies he needed to address prior to the closing week. Closing day went smoothly with the final walk through with Mr. [name removed] his team fixed all discrepancies noted. The only thing I found is not having a representative from century at the Closing site to provide us with the keys of the house. I had to contact Mr. [name removed] to get access to the house and retrieve the keys and garage opener. Century missed that special touch to your customer that paid a significant amount of money for your product, that was the least you can do. Following the Closing Mr. [name removed] has been in contact with us ensuring everything was working well in the house and continuing providing a stellar service.

Felt like every step of the way was a rush and more reactive than proactive. I didn’t like that closing price and down payment amount was a guess and not an exact number.

I had my home built in the winter which I know delayed the finish to it so I don’t want to hold that against the team. [name removed] and [name removed] was great throughout the process. I like the fact that anything I ask [name removed] I’ll have an answer and whatever he promised me before closing of business. [name removed] has also been very helpful as when I didn’t get approved from the lender they use in house she was able to refer me to outside lender and I was approved same day. So I love how she didn’t just give up on me.

•I felt pressured to use your financing in the fact that I was given a short window to close. Then to be told, either I get financing or you’re done. It made me feel like I was not a valued prospect and I had to jump through hoops to get different. I honestly went out of my way to get financing through someone else out of spite. To be told “we’ve done this before and we’ll find someone else to buy the home was a shocker”. •To be told if I’m unavailable to close that I could be fined but if you move it then it’s okay. Our closing date changed multiple times and I had to cancel a trip that I had booked for months only for the date to be changed again. It may not have been your fault but you gained all the leverage and left me with none and for that it’s bad business. At least try to be reasonable!! •I hate that the home was bare minimum essentials. For example, one light in the living room, some closets don’t have lights and all the toilets are for dwarfs!!!!!! I’ve already had to go purchase other things because what was installed was borderline disrespectful with these components. •What turned the experience around was the site manager ([name removed]) was and is excellent. He was very responsive, returned calls and ensured everything I pointed out (minor mistakes such as painting) was corrected. I could work with him any day of the week and he alone would make me a repeat customer.
