As I have said many times before, it's not IF one has issues, but how a company responds when one arises. [name removed]=10 out of 10!

This has been a great experience for us from beginning this process through settlement. My husband is in the construction business as well and he was impressed with our builder, [name removed]!!! From the beginning of this process with [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] AND most importantly [name removed] were always there for us when we had questions or concerns. To sum it up, we had a great experience with the entire purchasing process, from the initial contract to moving in. Everything went smoothly and efficiently, and [name removed] and I felt well-supported throughout. The communication was clear, and any issues that came up were addressed promptly. Overall, it was a seamless experience, and I’m very satisfied with how everything turned out.

I understand the builder has expenses to cover although I was not able to close on time. I am a veteran woman 82 years of age. I was moving near a niece/nephew, my only family. My buyers cancelled on the date of closing and I was charged over $165 per day which greatly increased the cost of my home as I am on a limited budget. I loved working with [name removed] in the sales office and each [name removed] was very good, especially [name removed]. He has been just great!

We have one critique about the process (not about [name removed] or [name removed]), our house was basically completed for 3 months before we could close.

I am a part-time resident so therefore, I depend greatly on having the repairs need done while I am there. This has been an issue the past few times I have been there. Still awaiting a repair to my walk-in shower and still am having electrical issues with my lighting/ceiling fans going on at will. Apparently, there is an issue with the codes of each light/celing fan programming that has yet to be resolved. Very frustrating!!

Although I had ongoing issues with my heating & air that were ultimately somewhat addressed, it was very difficult to have someone acknowledge that there was a problem. You might want to strike the phrase "it's the Minto standard" and "it's working as designed" from your phrase vocabulary because all that does is make the person saying it sound as if they really don't care.

First, we thought that [name removed] and [name removed] who wrote down our “B” selections did very well in this process and had no issues at all with them. However, there were other aspects of the process that were problematic. In selecting our “A” options, we wanted a 36” cooktop. We were told that selection was in the B process. In our “B” option process, we were told that we needed to select the hood option in the A process and the inflexibility of your system did not allow us to correct the decision we made as the result of the improper information given to us in the A process. We think this is a significant flaw in your procedures. Additionally, we knew where we wanted the floor electrical outlet located in the living room of our [name removed] Bay model. However we were not able to meet our builder until the floor had been poured taking this option away from us. We found some other procedures nonsensical such as the location of the toilet paper holder out of the reach of any user in two of the bathrooms. The location of the living room smoke detector requires that we hire someone with an extra tall ladder to replace its battery each time it is required. We also are also disappointed in the lack of a cable television option. Also, the landline phone jack adjacent to the cooktop is a problem as we were not allowed to move it to a safer easier to use location. The light switch for the under cabinet task lighting which is not close to where the lights actually are does not make sense. The lack of common sense flexibility in the process was discouraging. We especially did not like the lack of transparency when moving from one process to the next. It was like going through an escape room and made us dislike the process. It is the process we did not like and not the effort of individual people we worked with in the process. If friends or acquaintances ask us about LMWS, we will explain our concerns about your process.

I appreciated that I had a person assigned to me from the first time I walked in & said I wanted to get my name on a list. [name removed] was very friendly and helpful. She was also helpful with my exterior options. After meeting [name removed], I was then assigned to work with [name removed] for my interior upgrades. She was awesome as well--very knowledgeable, and friendly. The time came to meet my builder--[name removed]. He called me to set up an appointment and he made me feel at ease from the start. We were able to connect since we both lived in Montgomery, AL at one time. He was available by text/phone 24/7! He was patient with me, as I know nothing about building homes. I brought my brother to my "how we build" and to my walk through prior to closing--who is also a builder. [name removed] didn't seem to feel threatened. My brother was impressed with the quality-which made me feel good. I appreciated how [name removed] pointed things out to me that he wasn't happy with--that I didn't even notice. He could have just let the quality slide since I was oblivious, but I appreciated that he didn't. He had a few things re-done. He also pointed out to me that I had requested my Hot tub plug be put in right by my sliding door on my lanai--which was not what I wanted, but somehow it got past [name removed] & me. He was very helpful telling me what I needed to do--to fill out a form, etc... And he ensured it was corrected. I really appreciate this! I got home late from a trip--the same day as my walk through, he was very accommodating. He was willing to make it happen when it worked for me. I appreciated that as well. [name removed] has gone above & beyond consistently. He showed up at my Master Care appointment. He just wanted to know how things were going & if I was enjoying my house. He didn't have to do that. If all of your builders are like [name removed], you will have a great reputation & an easy time selling homes. I have already had 3 friends get on a list for future homes! I would highly recommend Minto-from this personal experience! What I disliked--the wait time... but it turned out ok.
