Newcastle has been extremely responsive to my concerns regarding repairs during my year of warranty. I report concerns and they respond promptly via email and show up and make needed minor repairs. Wonderful!

Once you are in contract there can be no changes unless you want to be charged $500. Per change. So we obviously disliked that. We didn’t like that some of the other homes were allowed to have things that we weren’t- extra concrete for parking, outside lights, and also gutters that are different colors than the trim. These are just the examples we specifically asked about. Lastly, them not sodding all the way to our lines regardless of hill was a huge dislike. We really liked the communication from the agents and our builder!

Before COVID 19 quarantine, we were able to view 4 homes in the neighborhood despite the fact I was still interviewing for my job and not having our own agent at that point. [name removed] sent me pictures of this actual home because we were out of state at the time. Still no agent at this time. I still haven’t officially gotten the job at this time. We found a different home which we ultimately decided against because it didn’t appraise well. We loved our house (this house) better- but this is a larger home than what we truly need. When we decided to turn down the other house, we took it as a sign and knew we should have gone with this- our first choice- to begin with. The neighborhood is nice. Neighbors are nice. I feel safe here. When we moved in, the knob in the mailbox was missing. Funny enough, my Nextdoor neighbor mentioned having a similar experience. I contacted [name removed] and the home warranty office. [name removed] took care of it immediately. Overall I’m satisfied.

How thoroughly our home was prepared after our initial walk-through one week prior to closing to the day we closed. It felt like someone that cared as much as we did prepared it for us to move in.
