We liked the honestly that was brought upfront when picking a home and the designs. We did not like the fact that there were weeks we had to ask for updates and multiple times we drove by, workers were working on other homes on the street that were framed after ours when our home wasnt being worked on. There were also things we were told that was contradictory and never taken care of until the day of the final walk thru.

Newcastle has been responsive to issues we’ve had that need addressing, so we are satisfied in that regard. But some things, like chips in countertops or walls that aren’t quite square aren’t worth addressing.

Closer inspection after move in reveals alot of blemishes on some areas of wall and ceiling. Can still see some of the lines where wall panels are attached to each other. Drywall person/contractor did not seem to have good attention to detail. The rest of the process from contract to move-in was great.

Newcastle Homes has been very responsive and quick to remedy issues. We haven't had any issues and are pleased with the service/customer experience at this point.

Lovely home. [name removed] could be a bit better as grass is grown up in the front of neighbor hood, lots of cars parked on street and can't get through sometimes, some residents do not keep their yard up which I am afraid will affect our home value down the line. Newcastle is great, though and we love our home.

The responsiveness to all issues reported to Newcastle has been great. Each Newcastle team member has been friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very professional in every encounter. The only dislike I had was with a portion of my slopped yard (beyond the sodded area) that was left rocky and ungraded. It would have been more useable if it has been at least evened out. Also, pendent lights should have been included over the island same as in the other homes. I asked about it but was told that the kitchen is wired for them but none were installed. Other than those 2 items, our experience with Newcastle Homes has been great.

They have been pretty good about the minor issues but are completely ignoring things like driveway and countertop issues. My house was off to begin with when it was not built square. There have been countless issues that have disregarded and hope will just go away. Very disappointed in New Castle. They've proven more than once that it's quantity over quality. There have been a couple of people that have been good work with. [name removed] has been very good at responding and providing updates when she can. [name removed] has been absolutely fantastic! Can't say enough good about him. I just want New Castle to fix the problems. I overpaid like most people over the past few years. All I ask is to have the problems addressed, placed or repaired to my satisfaction.

After the completion of my purchase [name removed] did a walk through and explained all of the technical details. He explained all the warranty information. He was very helpful and left cell# should we have additional questions or concerns

I do like the home and layout. Communication throughout the process was not great. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the office and the builder. At the walk thru, I was under the impression we would be marking spots on the wall that needed paint. The house was not done which made the walk through overwhelming. The fence was not installed and the builder was not aware we were getting a fence as a part of the home. The fence was not complete by closing and then the fence was installed in the wrong spot which then had to be removed. My yard still has 9 concrete spots where grass is missing where the posts were moved from. I was told they would come to fix the yard but still waiting for it to be completed. I was told it will be fixed when they put in sod at the house next door. We love the house, there were just aspects where communication seemed to be lacking and we were told to close and they would fix it afterward which didn’t give me a great feeling.

Once you are in contract there can be no changes unless you want to be charged $500. Per change. So we obviously disliked that. We didn’t like that some of the other homes were allowed to have things that we weren’t- extra concrete for parking, outside lights, and also gutters that are different colors than the trim. These are just the examples we specifically asked about. Lastly, them not sodding all the way to our lines regardless of hill was a huge dislike. We really liked the communication from the agents and our builder!
