From the time we put in our contract, I feel like we’ve been jerked around. The day that your realtor drew up the contract and we signed/submitted, you guys countered and raised the price $20K+. We walked. You guys came back willing to honor the original price so we decided to go with it. Then it sat for 2-3 weeks after everything was signed with no work done?? We paid for all upgrades out of pocket and then had to fight to get said upgrades because no one communicated out what we wanted. We told the realtor a couple weeks before final walk thru that things were wrong (no fans in any room, chandelier/pendants wrong, wall color wrong, countertops wrong) and the only thing they immediately fixed was the countertops. We got to final walk thru and this was the first thing I brought up. At the end of the walk thru, you guys finally pulled up the change order that we signed and realized we were correct the whole time and had a whole lot of work to complete by closing. Because of this, there were some other things pointed out at final walk that didn’t get addressed: leak under kitchen sink, quarter round around master vanities, rock in grout, no weatherstripping around either exterior door, doors not shutting properly, attic access door off, and the front yard retaining water. [name removed] assured us he would be working on this stuff but we were pressed for time and we were already late to closing so he told us to go. We came back later to see NOTHING was done like he said he would. He said he’d be back the next day. Nope. [name removed] when we did drive by, someone had left the house wide open - we left it unlocked as a courtesy to you guys so noone would have to be there when they came by Thursday. The only thing addressed that day was a patch of touch up paint. Fast forward, I had to email all these issues into warranty because [name removed] never followed thru. Even when it was submitted to them, he still never followed up to address things like the weather stripping or doors not shutting/locking properly or the front retaining water. We went to re-do the front flower beds because the job the landscapers did was crap. We had plants that were half planted literally. [name removed] one that was planted on top of the sprinkler line. Luckily we decided to redo that because we found that the sprinkler system had been leaking this whole month we’ve lived here. That’s why our front yard stayed sopping wet. We have siphoned so many gallons of water out I’ve lost count - and fyi, even with this fixed, our yard is still holding water. we spent incredibly too much money on this house to be having these kind of issues. I get sometimes crap happens, but this is just ridiculous and if it happened to any of you personally, you’d be a pissed. We have a new super, [name removed], now that [name removed] is gone and he has been one of the only good things. He showed up one day to introduce himself and look at some things. He took an hour to fix the weatherstripping and the locking issue [name removed] he immediately jumped on getting everything addressed. He also was working next door last week and stopped just to check in and make sure we were good. I understand things happen, and you’ll never get a house exactly right 100% of the time. But your guys need to listen to the home buyer and they need to treat the home buyer how they would want their mom, wife, daughter, self treated. I shouldn’t of had to show my ass to get someone to take these issues seriously but I guess I should’ve known this is how the process would be from how we were treated from the get go.

I have emailed about issues and people really aren’t quick to message back or call back. I work a job and i just don’t feel like they are trying to fix issues going on

When you bring thing up things are brushed off or sloppily fixed finding more things in the home that’s uneven or could tell it was a rush to be finished

We have sent several emails for warranty claims and have received no response. We have also expressed minor complaints to the builders and have been told they would have someone come look at our home, but no one showed up. We had an issue with our septic tank alarm going off and I called the newcastle office and did get a response and someone from the septic company came out and told me that the sensor in the septic tank needed to be replaced and he would come back and replace it in a few days. That has been 3 months ago and it still has not been replaced. We love our home but it seems to be really hard to get in touch with people to follow through and fix things.

It was a horrible experience. The workers were smoking in my house nothing was supposed to be done in the house was done like they said they were going to do before closing and they said they repainted and they didn't. I just think this company lies This was my first home and the experience was horrible.

Feel like the Mckesie Crossing has been the back burner of new castle development and commitments. Very small work crews, very small progression. Our road that these 350-400k+ houses sit on is pitch black at night and has pot holes all over them. Construction trash still sits on the opposite road of the houses all up the street. Our sod line in the back yard still has a gap and I have been told twice it would be fixed and once a work crew came and put the sod in the wrong area. Our back yard floods and has created a clear drainage issue that has nearly destroyed potential growth and enables fungus to grow. Up until recently we have had several issues that caused a lot of hardship and taking off work or moving schedules around to get fixed ( condensation damage on the two vents in living room, total floor replacement after several inspections on downstairs )

Guys, the things I am seeing with the roof are not something a new home should be experiencing. We should have not closed on this home until all repairs were completed. If there was someone in charge of ensuring that the construction was completed who was let go then extra due diligence should have been taken in order to ensure a quality experience for the client. My experience has been awful. I don't think that one person can correct the wrong of many. I smell mildew in my home, not acceptable.

Contract was made, and work was done adequately soon after to finish the house it self. We purchased the home over 1 month ago and we are still having landscaping issues specifically water retention and sod not taking root. One area of our back yard has been redone 3 times to which now it appears suitable work done by the new company but another area is still an issue with very poor communication between us and the warranty / builder.
