Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

The warranty experience. On several occasions [name removed] was extremely unprofessional. We submitted our inspection and several items he claimed were not under warranty; when in the warranty packet it said they were; for example outside grading, ceiling fans, and drywall cracks. After we sent the inspection to him, he came and did his own inspection and claimed the fans didn't look wobbly to him. He then sent another company to do an inspection delaying the timeframe it should have taken to fix the damages. There were several other instances when he stated nothing was wrong with things in the house and there clearly were items wrong.

Our sales rep [name removed] was very polite and professional. [name removed] also was very responsive to all questions or concerns via text/email. [name removed] (Builder) was very polite, helpful and professional is all aspects. [name removed] was quick in answering/responding to ALL issue’s wether big or small. He also followed up on issues with a 3rd party involved. That is the definition of true customer service. Now as for the the financing department our experience was not as pleasant. Our rep [name removed] was very nice, polite and professional. Although she had a lot of issues when a response was needed. Emails weren’t replied to as quickly as desired. Multiple days would pass before a response was given. If that issue could be corrected there would be no complaints at all.

We disliked the home was not completed on schedule which affected mortgage rate and caused our credit to have 2 hard inquiries on it.

The home was poorly managed. Things that where supposed to be fix during my final walk through where not fixed. The person that did my final inspection got fired or left the company and didn’t pass on what still need to get done but I was never informed about this until I called to inform the company about all of the issues after I moved in. When I moved in the home was still dirty from being built. Paint was on the floors. There are areas that still needed to be painted in my home. My sinks in the kitchen are scratched up and have left over grout in them. The damage cabinet in the kitchen was never replaced. The pipeline in the guest bathroom underneath the sink was never fixed. The tiles in the upstairs bathroom are uneven and have grout higher than some of the tiles. The upstairs cabinets in the bathroom have red stains on them. A few days after I moved in some people came and pulled up my yard and left it that way. It took over a month to finally get someone to come out and replace the grass that was removed. My kitchen island was built uneven and cabinet shelves have missing pieces of wood where the nails were hammered in. There are hollow tiles on the floor. There was building materials trash left on the roof. The overall basic finished product is of poor quality. There is uneven paint on walls and bass boards. Globs of paint left in some areas. Paint all over light switches. There was uneven light switches. The lights in the kitchen have plaster and paint all over them and look awful. When the guys came in to try and fix the lights they stated the ceiling in the kitchen had been redone as there may have been a prior issue as he could tell when the light fixture was removed. The plaster and paint overall need to be fixed. The back door sticks, the door was put in uneven. The down stairs master bathroom tiles are un even and the shower door was put in upside down also the shower window had to be replaced as rain was leaking in. The bathroom sink stopper doesn’t work correctly and I have had to replace so many bathroom light bulbs within a month. When mopping floors by the garage door water leaks through the baseboard to the garage. Over all very disappointed and dissatisfied with the the home. I was told these things would be fixed and the house would be cleaned before I moved in and that was not the case. I would never recommend this building company to anyone. The quality of work is poor.

Warranty department issues, house wasn’t cooling correctly due to defects such as no insulation, no roof vents, A/C install had issues, spent a lot of money on high energy bills and even a portable A/C to stay comfortable, should have been reimbursed due to issues but they basically said too bad.

Sold me a house with plans not approved by HOA and we had to hire a lawyer to get it sorted. Communication was terrible. Appliances, especially AC, are substandard. Upstairs flooring materials used are poor quality. Paint shows everything. Porch railing misaligned.

Liked: Cooperation and easy/frequent communication by John Martinez about the status of the construction. Clayton Bird has been an amazing Construction Manager and is easy to deal with. Disliked: The landscaping team didn't do a good job. The sod was already brown the day they laid it. I have shared pictures with Clayton and am waiting for a response. Please follow up from your side if possible.

The most positive parts of my experience were with my construction manager Brad “Shay” Exum. He was super informative and transparent about my building progress. Also the assistance I received from Brittany Odell and Jesse Longoria when there discrepancies with some of my items. I was connected with them by Tricia Wallace who was in office the day I visited to discuss the items. The only thing I truly disliked about my experience was the lack of communication and initiative from my sales agent. Though he was always polite, kind and pleasant to interact with on a personal level.
