My process was through [name removed] before you changed your name. Building my home through you has been the single worst purchase experience of my life. The build quality from lumber to fixtures is terrible. I was quoted a 6-8 month build time, it took 16months. In the 16 months I had about 10-12 building mangers/foreman, none of which had any idea what the previous had done or promised. Every single time line I was given was a farce, a joke or a lie. My contact [name removed] was so disengaged, disingenuous and untrustworthy. When I would call him out on his lies, he would just spin his rolodex of b.s. excuses and send them over, it was extremely evident he didn't give a damn! Working with him on something as important to me as my home was an absolute nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone. The overall quality of the inside and out is a joke and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

We like our home and we are grateful to finally have it however the sales process and construction process were the absolute worst I have ever seen. We signed a contract that based on the model homes we walked with John and and the upgrades we chose with him during the purchase. However, we did not get a model quality home. The model showed and our contract shows 9' ceilings up stairs and we got 8' ceilings. I emailed and text John and Allen the builder at the time of foundation and framing to please confirm the 9' ceilings that were in our contract and they ignored my request and we got 8' ceilings, this was never fixed and when I finally got management to respond to me I was told it was to late to fix. We upgraded to a stainless steel sink and appliances but the option was never given to upgrade the faucets and fixtures to stainless so it should match the model, we got the cheapest most basic chrome faucets and fixtures, not what we saw in the models, this needs to be fixed. We saw real base boards in the models and it was not an option during selections to upgrade to baseboards from case mold so again this should be the standard, this needs to be fixed. You guys show your customers one thing but give them some thing else than tell them they did not upgrade to it, we were never given as an option or we would have. Our landscaping around the house is terrible. The yards are not flat and there are many area that pool with water creating mud and breading grounds for mosquitos and other bugs. The back yard is not flat and has has big valley running through it so it can not be used for anything, this needs to be fixed. The grass was laid with large gaps in between the sod and it is not flat and in several areas is dead. The sprinkler system is terrible, the sprinkler heads are not straight and they do not cover the grass evenly thus causing the dead grass and there are green boxes XXXXX tered all over out yard, Why?? I brought all the landscape issue up with Kelly and Campbell during the time it could have been fixed but both of them ignored it. We need the yards re graded, the sprinklers fixes and new grass. The interior nd exterior paint must have been do by firth graders. The paint is splotchy and there are runs and drips everywhere. the electricians use the cheapest switches and outlets and used paint grade covers that are so thin they flex the minute the crews are tight. the sheet rock people cut the sheetrock around the switch and out let boxes that extend past the covers and they never fixed them. the one the tried to fix they just pushed caulking into them hoping no one would notice. and the list goes on. Campbell has not complete his exceptions work and the list goes on. Who ever is reading this i hope you realize that you would not except this quality ad workman ship at your home so why would your company provide it to their customers? I would really like a call from your VP of sales and construction so that we can work on getting these items corrected to your model quality and talk about some concession for not not building our house as it was contracted to be built.

Home designs are nice. Sales professional was nice but could not keep up with his updates. Dates changed every other day and updates happened only after I had to reach out to him several times though out the build. Weeks would go by and nothing was done on the house. My closing dates kept getting pushed back farther and farther even though other houses that were sold after ours were being built and closing dates acquired while my house sat for a few months with no work being done to it. Eventually we came to a closing date after waiting several months. And that's when all of a sudden the house was built pretty much in a couple of weeks. My builder that was supposed to keep me up to date with the progress either got fired/quit/or got replaced at least 3 to 4 times which was very frustrating. And after all of that waiting and patience we closed on the house and there was still so much work to be done. My fence post was broken, stairs weren't completed, railing was done sloppy, none of my doors/closets are even, the living room and kitchen tiles are all uneven and cut your feet when you walk on it, garage was left a mess with dry cement everywhere, drive way is un even and has a huge slope on one side, and a whole list of others. Currently my house is still being worked on and I closed over a month ago. The whole process was very frustrating and unprofessional all around.

Overall experience wasn't great. From the beginning plans kept getting changed and communication with our sales man from Legend was non existent. Consistently I would have to reach out to him to get our weekly follow-ups. Salesman new little information on the progress of our home and would always tell us he would get back with us about the information but never did unless I sent an email reminding him. I had to argue with the salesman about what we asked for several times due to him not keeping up with our information. Our superintendent changed every few months and every time they had no idea about the specs of the house and I would have to reiterate what we signed for which lead to more confusion on what was being built because nobody knew what we had originally asked for which one again I had to explain or send over paperwork reminding them what we signed for. Fast forward a few months and progression on building of the house was stagnant. Excuses were given on why our house foundation couldn't be poured while other houses on the block that started build after ours continued on schedule. Miscommunication and delays continued all the way until the day of closing. Our house progression continued with delays until maybe 2 months before closing is when everything started going up very quickly. During our final walk through numerous items in the house still need to be fixed even though we addressed it previously with the superintendent on our intial walk through (crack in drive way, none of the concrete t XXXXX was completed just clumps of cement were left in the garage floor and outside trim of the house, roof trim wasn't complete, outside office/flex space window awning wasn't installed, all tile floors were not level most stuck up and had sharp edges, poles in closets weren't installed, cabinet in kitchen was misplaced and not installed, trim in the house wasn't complete, stair railing wasnt painted or sanded down and had multiple nails sticking out in different areas, stairs carpet wasn't fully installed, both bathroom cabinets had to be fixed, fence had several split or broken posts, french doors weren't installed correctly, several windows had dents, window shades weren't installed, the incorrect back door was installed, masterbathroom shower seat tile wasn't shaved down and a few more items). We move in and it took 8 months to fix these items. During that process I was approached my many workers blaming their poor performance on terrible management and when I brought it up with management they said the workers were to blame. More issues came as well like my awning not being installed due to a change in style of home which was never brought up to me during the build, so to my surprise a different version of the home I picked was built instead. When asked if I could still have the awning installed I was told it couldn't be fixed because it was too late and not in the contract which once again we signed for one that did have the awning. As the homeowner I shouldn't be involved in any of builder nonsense that goes on between your company but my family and I were patient and understanding. During the winter storm my heater wouldn't work and when the technician came out he let me know that the house was wired improperly and voltages were giving power to the wrong areas causing my heater to kick off when I tried to start it. The technician then took a look inside the house and had to rewire several plugs and light switches because they were installed improperly. Overall my family loves the neighborhood and after great patience and hardwork we were able to get our house to what we've always wanted it to be. The lack of professionalism, common courtesy, follow through, and accountability displayed by Bella Vista (Legend) Homes is disgustingly mind blowing and I'm writing all this in the hopes that this experience is something no family or homeowner have to go through.

Several of the corners aren’t square (little to no quality control) there is zero customization while building your home. If you want outlets or low voltage lines ran to where your tv will be to where you media/AV receivers will be. Its a solid, no. If you want all the walls insulated. Its a solid, no. Plus the quality of the cabinets and floors they use is the cheapest you can find. We looked into the attic and you can see big gaps of light coming in, I know the eves have perforated holes, but we’re seeing some gaping holes (can’t wait for the wasps to invade!). Also the fireplaces are the cheapest one’s you can get as well as the toilets, can’t burn anything but low smoke logs. The wall shakes when you close the interior door to the garage. Crooked or big lumps on the floor.

When I bought the house, I was told to report all deficiencies as soon as possible. I did that and not a fraction of what needed to be corrected is complete. I just got back from a year deployment and my wife was dealing with all of this while I was gone. I'm frustrated with the quality of the craftsmanship, but more so with the lack of follow-up for the list of things that I submitted a year ago not being addressed.

After closing of my home, we were informed that we would have a year of warranty to address other issues that were not noticed during the initial inspection. Well, I am now being told that if there is something wrong that was not addressed during the so called cosmetic inspection, I am screwed and Bella Vista will not honor the warranty because I did not catch all items at closing. Who does this besides car dealerships and ripping customers off. What a disgrace on behalf of Bella Vista Homes. How do you people sleep????
