We have a shower bench with unfinished ends at the front edge of the bench seat. Paint or stain was used to cover the raw tile edge. The paint washed off not long after we moved in. When they came to fix it, they used the same product. It washed off after a few showers. I consulted a tile company about their opinion on the issue. We were told that the bench should of been designed with finished ends or perhaps a finished rounded edge piece. They went on to say that perhaps a 2 part epoxy paint could probably work. I suggested this to [name removed]. At any rate they keep coming back after the paint fails. They apply the same product...expecting a different outcome. We wait around for them on the day of our appointment. It's frustrating when we are told that the same product is going to be used again. They came out again last week. Once again they applied the same product. We waited 4 days and showered. We showered again a day or 2 later and the paint is coming off again, no surprise. It has been very frustrating. This isn't a case of discoloration in a damp shower area after months or years of use. This is workmanship or product failure from almost the very beginning. I got a text from [name removed] saying he wants to close out the ticket. The issue has not been resolved. I feel like they are hoping we will give up. Our warranty period ended last month. We love our home and most of our other claims have been handled well. We always seem to remember how the last claim went. Please resolve this issue.

We like the location. We disliked the constant lack of progress it took to finish the home. We were unable to make the slightest changes even when offered to pay for the upgrade. This is our third home build and dislike the quality and lack of functionality Princeton Homes puts into their builds.

We were disappointed with the poor workmanship in some trade areas (particularly interior trim and painting. But masonry and floors were outstanding). We've found the warranty service to be less than satisfactory. It's taken over 9 months to resolve many of the issues noted on the closing walk through. A number of issues opened since still remain unresolved. It seems to take months and months to get something fixed after placing a claim. Also, frequently we made an appointment for a repair, arranged our schedule to be home all day, then no one ever showing up. We do not like the claim system in that once we input a discrepancy, we have no follow-on visibility. With so many discrepancies over long periods of time, it's hard to remember what's already been entered. We've experienced lots of promises and good intentions, but limited follow through.

The sales rep and project manager have been wonderful to work with. Truly the nicest people! I am dissatisfied with the quality of the Wisenbaker cabinets. The cabinets are not completed and the craftsmanship in many areas is poor. Once the rep for [name removed] came out to our home, she agrred the cabinets were not finished/complete. I am currently working with [name removed] to have the cabinets in the home completed, such as caulking, closing up all the open seams and replacing damaged or defected materials installed. As of right now, the cabinets are not complete and we are not accepting the product as they are, in its current state.

Dislike - Where to start?? Starting from the initial stages of the planning the build and throughout the year I've lost more and more confidence in the overall build quality and product you all offer. The amount of rework and corrections were shocking and even though some of these items were addressed, we are worn down from this entire process. Our original construction manager did not even know what our plans were and told trades incorrect information causing delays for both Princeton and us! Maybe not 100% his fault as he was brand new, and I never saw or communicated with his boss even when he was out with COVID. Just to name a few major points of frustration: Plat map was incorrect and lot was smaller then stated in contract when survey come through, Multiple issues with the foundation pour, framing issues (I'm not even sure if an inspector came by), Half of the doors were coming apart when we moved in, We still have doors that don't close correctly with gaps at the jamb (No shims were used to level any door frames in any door, Multiple chips in backsplash tile (doesn't seem like this will be addressed), deep scratches in kitchen sink when we moved in (not addressed), large stain on concrete driveway (from the door stain), drainage issues - just seems like everything was thrown together with no attempt for quality work in the trades you all use, especially the trim and finish out. We did not have a 1 month evaluation, for 5-6 Month Evaluation - we are FINALLY getting original punch list items done thanks to Lyle, who we have only been working with for a short time and finally seems to be someone who is on top of things - had been dealing with both construction manager, and Keith who have both left the company. Communicate post close has been limited and being in the house over year now we are still working through punch list items. Likes - although very slow - communication has been good and I still get the impression that you all are willing to fix what was incorrect through warranty work etc...really this is the saving grace.

There was a major lack of oversight during the construction process. We selected an elevation and signed a contract on it. When we went back the elevation had changed in our pre-construction meeting with Jack. He assured us that wasn’t right and we were getting the elevation we signed on. Later we were called and told the elevation did change (went from mostly white stone to mostly brown brick. Major difference) and there’s nothing we could do about it. They have our money and we were free to walk away if we didn’t like it. Extremely rude and felt like an awful bait and switch. This would be the first of many. Others include the floor plan included a linen closet in master bathroom. This wasn’t built. Advertisement of a wood burning stove. It’s gas. The list goes on. We were not scheduled for a walk through when framing was completed. This was omitted and we weren’t given a chance to find needed corrections at that stage. Sheetrock was placed and the construction moved on without this contracted meeting. Throughout the process the quality of work was unbelievably poor. Any error made had to be found and pointed out by us, not the builder. Walls were crooked (only some were fixed and some remain), all door frames are in poor condition with cracks or nails or pieces missing. Still to this day after close. The paint job is terrible and we were told Princeton doesn’t pay their workers well enough to do a better job by the builder multiple times. That’s the best we can expect because they don’t get paid well. The plumbing wasn’t right after close and we had to have the walls cut into and plumbing repaired. Why did the builder not ensure the plumbing was right?? Why was no error caught without the buyer pointing it out. This has been the absolute worst experience and I tell everyone to avoid Princeton homes. You don’t want to do business with them. They bait and switch and don’t care. The quality is unbelievably poor and you can find better. I am worried what the future holds for my family in this home and never would have thought what started out as a dream home would end up such a nightmare. Buyer be ware and steer clear of Princeton.

Jackie is awesome. Build managers (all 4 of them) have been good but Jack was the only one to actually get the house built. The trades other than electric and maybe plumbing and fireplace have been pretty awful. There is zero pride in the workmanship and no follow through making items right (exception tile).

Jackie did a great job on keeping me up to date on what was going on with construction and when your company hired Jack, things even got a lot better. He really did a great job on getting my house finished by closing date. I have to be honest, things were really running tight the last few weeks all the way to closing day but everyone did what was needed so that we could close. I consider Jackie and Jack friends and they are welcome at my house anytime. Thanks to them, I can honestly retire now and enjoy a beautiful home with my wife and kids. Thanks Jackie and Jack, your the best....
