Purchase Experience Testimonials from Real Homebuyers

The biggest disappointment is the problems incurred after taking possession of the home. To date, we have had to replace circuit breakers for dryer and for the oven. Dishwasher did not work from day one. Plastic parts were discovered in the shower drain left there by your plumbing contractor, also the shower drain itself was covered in grout and the drain was not connected at all. The hot water heater unit stopped working and it took 4 tries and a total replacement to correct, then, the recirculation unit was not hooked by up and took over a week to get someone back out to correct. There are just too many issues that should not have happened to a $1 million + home in the first 90 days of ownership.

This is our Second home with [name removed]. [name removed] was supporting us for both our homes. It was a pleasure working with [name removed]. She made it easy for us from Sale to Closure and following up open items. [name removed] fulfilled the commitment on time and was very understanding of our needs.

There are no dislikes from [name removed] homes or staff of Shaddock Homes. Everything here in Home and experience of buying from sales team ( [name removed] ) , handling of maintenance from [name removed] and [name removed] are very good and up to the mark. these guys cant be replaced and responded to every request via phone or email, specially to mention [name removed] from Warranty and Maintenance is very responsive, friendly and super workaholic. Build quality is great, no major issues in 1 year and patch work here are there and that took care by [name removed] in time. Over all i am very likely satisfied with buying this home and team that help fix thing,

Workmanship is poor. Paint drips and overspray. Holes in calking. Non-square windows. Crews cutting corners. HVAC system is low quality and not setup well as I feel crews do the same configuration in every house without regard to the location of the summer sun. Minimal to zero instructions on how to operate the house. Minimal manuals left for us.

Having to pay for some of the issues that were not covered and should have been covered like window leaks with in 6 months. Otherwise, our representative [name removed] has been great.

I want to take a moment to commend the team that made our homebuilding experience both smooth and rewarding. First and foremost, I’d like to express my sincere appreciation for our construction manager, [name removed]. [name removed] demonstrated exceptional professionalism, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach throughout the construction process. His dedication and presence in the field gave us great confidence, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about the quality and craftsmanship of our future home. Any concerns or questions we had were always met with prompt, thoughtful responses, and he ensured that everything was addressed to our satisfaction. Equally deserving of recognition is our sales manager, [name removed], who played a vital role from the very beginning. [name removed] was instrumental in helping us understand our options and guiding us through the home selection and customization process. Her responsiveness, patience, and helpful insights made a big difference, especially as we navigated some of the more detailed decisions. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we ended up with a home that met both our needs and our vision. While our overall experience was positive, I would like to share one suggestion for improvement — specifically regarding the design studio process. While the design studio offered a wide range of impressive options, the process itself felt somewhat overwhelming due to the sheer number of components and choices. It’s easy for important details to be missed or overlooked, especially for first-time buyers unfamiliar with the building process. To enhance the experience, I would recommend developing a comprehensive and interactive checklist that walks buyers through every element that requires a decision — including commonly missed items — to help ensure nothing is left to chance. In summary, we are incredibly grateful for the support and dedication of both [name removed] and [name removed], and we’re thrilled with the end result. With a few refinements to the design selection process, I believe the builder could further elevate what is already a strong and customer-focused homebuilding experience.

Overall we love our home. Downsized from a shaddock home in kings crossing. Only thing we don’t like is we paid for one extra security keypad and [name removed] indicated the house came with 2 (so a total of 3) but [name removed] says 2 ( 1 that I paid for and 1 comes with house). Very frustrating that we cannot get the one we paid for scheduled.

Although I appreciated the home walkthrough and orientation it felt extremely rushed and might be specific to my purchase. We had a 3rd party inspection and the next day were assured that select items were taken care of; 50% were not. Because of the tight timeline we closed and moved in. We have a backlog of things that we need to submit in the warrant portal. My main annoyance is with the assurance we were given.

Homebuilder Customer Reviews

No one knows more about a homebuilder's quality and service than the builder's customers.

Since 1984, Eliant has been independently evaluating the performance of homebuilders across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East:

  • We ask recent homebuyers to evaluate their builder's purchase process.
  • Then, we ask homeowners to evaluate their builder's quality and service (1) after the first 5-months in the home, and (2) again at the end of the first year.

In "Homebuilder Customer Reviews", we present the ratings and comments collected from new-home buyers at these three points in time.

Eliant verifies that only evaluations completed by actual customers are included in this "Homebuilder Customer Reviews" site. No other evaluations - whether collected by the builder or those appearing on other public sites - are included here. All customer comments are included verbatim, no editing is permitted.
